  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc hoses

little difficult to describe, will post photos if nobody knows, but my radiator hoses on wre are different to the wr and cr spare hoses I bought. You have the two radiators up front, they have a hose attached to the bottom of them, which then runs to the right and down onto the water pump housing. The fluid then gets pumped into the engine, up and through the cylinder head and out the top, into the hose at the top, which goes back to the two tops of the radiators, fluid then runs down the rads getting cooled and gets back into the engine via the two lower rad exits once again. However, the wre has the same hoses, but the one that comes out the cylinder head, it splits two ways, it goes back to the two tops of the radiators, but it has another smaller hose which runs down to the bottom left radiator hose. Why? What does it need to go down there for? anyway I need to try run these cr hoses on it as mine seems leaky lately, just wondering what the reasoning for the extra little hose is

first two pics are the wre hoses still attached to the bike, the others show them off the bike next to the cr ones on the right, see the extra hose connecting the bottom hose to the head hose? what is its purpose? I put the cr ones on now so will test it tommorow and bleed the air out, hopefully it'll run just fine

thanks for clearing that up, it hasn't had the thermostat attached for years anyway so extra hose was probably pointless, going to give hoses a go now

they seem to work fine, i ran it and a massive burp of fluid jumped out, then idle/ blipped it for 20 mins squeezing hoses and tilting bike side to side, rode it for 20 mins, came back, cooled down, cap off, fluid just above fins :D
