• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Holy snotballs!! chad reed wreck

Not only did he get back up and finish the race, he finished in good points - good enough to retain the points lead!

Even if you used to hate the man, you have to respect his determination and grit.

like him or not, he can friggin ride. And man... what a crash! It's unbelievable that he was back on the bike before he'd been lapped. Incredible! :notworthy:

was gettin a little wild goin up one of the big jumps and he caught something that kinda shot him sideways and up n over the jump they went but not together he landed on the side of the jump. luckily he didnt land on the flat ground but the sloped side. laid there for a momment then as my old football coach would say he showed some intestinal fortitude , got on the bike and finnished the race.

Reed's a punk, but ya gotta give credit where credit is due. That was one scary crash. The wrong landing could have killed him. Amazing he actually finished!

Wow, he sure stuck the landing. i know some don't care for him but he's hi on my list since he finished 3rd that year at a brutal Daytona SX with a separated shoulder. That is one tough dude.......

My god, that really could have ended badly! I can't really hate someone I don't know. I sure can respect a guy getting up and charging on after something like that, though.

Chaddie can start riding with Metzger and Pastrana now.... Give the guy a foam pit and see what he can do...forget 22 Motorsports.. he can ride for the Mulisha!!!

Give credit to Reed for landing that one!
