• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hiker's STINK EYE caught on video!

I call quads Trail Blockers.

Has anybody ever just close-lined some hiker while riding and threw their Birkenstocks up in a tree with their keys dangling off the strap?...Me either so far.

I love the high-road. There are no hunters, hikers, horses, mtn bikers, 4 wheel drive or ATV's. It's pure dirt bike only Nirvana.:applause:

As soon as Jake uploads a vid i will show you hikers cheering us on as we go to do more trail work  Not provoked, they saw us and started cheering, it was cool. Met them at a bridge later and had some nice conversations. They thought it was cool we were riding those trails and doing trail work.

we got mad props from an outfitter last weekend. He recognized us from the week before when we chatted on the trail and cut out some trees for them. He was telling his clients "those are some of the folks that clear out the trails for us."

Let me guess, two gals, in a Subaru Forester, with a dog, with man hating stickers on the back? See it all the time. Dikes on hikes. 80% of the people I run into on the trail are super nice. The rest are traction, er I mean not nice.

lol you beat me too it.

You guys up in the PNW are friken great, love to come up and ride with you guys someday. And in turn show you lots of N. Cal riding you would love too.
Sorry to send you all the tree huggers, I think our dirt bikes here have sent them packing North.

4 wheelers drinking beer, littering & trying to make single track into 4 wheeler trail.

+10 to that. Here in Michigan the CCC (Cycle Conservation Club) puts in trail, and maintains the trails. We maintain both ORV (50") and Cycle trail (24" on the ground). Then the quad riders come along and make their best attempt to plow through the cycle trail we have left even though it's posted....:banghead:
