So, I am cleaning up my back brake caliper and will need to replace my rear brake pads. The caliper piston is out because of pad wear. I notice that the piston is corroded around the edges and if I take a C clamp and push it back in, It will damage the caliper bore and probably the seals. Looked on line and caliper piston, seals, banjo washers, etc.... around $40. Cool, I can live with that.
Well, called the dealer, Husky won't sell you the kit (been discontinued)? You gotta buy the whole caliper? The price tag is $220. B----lllsh----t , What's next? Need a shift lever and have to buy the whole engine?
You got it, I took some emery paper, cleaned it the best I could and pushed it back in.
Does anyone know what the same caliper is crossed over to a Brembo KTM/Gas Gas? Already checked with Hall's/Keytime.
This is on a 08 WR250. If I can find the cross over then I can call the KTM dealers/Gas Gas and try and get one.
