• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

hi guys,
i need some help with uptite husky;
i ordered a skidplate and oil filler plug from George back in april (he asked me to send a cheque over, so i did, found out it was cashed in in may). since then i've tried contacting him several times, and last email i got back from him he said that it was sent on a non ups carrier and asked me for my details.
since then i've sent my details to him twice and asked for updates also. no replies.
Last time he contacted me was on 12th july.
any ideas/news/information i should be aware of?

thanks for any input. Max

Call him. He's not an email sort of guy.

That said, I have attempted to purchase things directly through him both via email and over the phone. I have yet to receive a single piece of Uptite merchandise that way. The only piece of Uptite gear I own (skid plate) was purchased from my dealer.

Never had a problem getting in touch or recieving my parts from George.. and thats with my first half a dozen or so transactions not being the easiest as I was in a different hotel every 4-8 days for work and was doing the whole delivery/COD thing with the front desk of whatever hotel. Easy peasy.. at least ALOT easier than getting a 610 into a 4th floor Hilton Garden Inn room to install your Uptite goodies when its raining outside.. ;) You need to CALL him.

Agreed. Just call; he answers the phone at least 90% of the time. I get the feeling he's a one man band and very busy. My orders from him have been fine although I did have to wait a bit for the skid plate. He's a perfectionist and if his stuff doesn't get made right, he sends it back. Call and he'll tell you what is up. Forget email! That's a black hole at Uptite.

Hey Guys,
I'm heading over there on Wed. I've only seen just him behind the counter (and the MOUNDS of paper and parts). Most interesting dirt bike store I've ever been in. It's like a Husky Museum in the front of the store.
