• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey all, sorry if this isn't the right forum to ask in, but I am in the market for a newer 610 and I have the itch bad!

I found an 08 with 4k mi. for $4850. looks and reads good(from the ad) but I am nervous about the mileage. It seems as though these are getting pretty hard to come by, but I don't want to jump into one prematurely.

is 4k mi a lot for an 08? How about the price?
is an 09 any better other than age?

thanks for any input. from CA

sounds like a pretty fair deal.4000 is not alot of miles.2009 is the exact same bike as 2008.dan

Yeah, I put 2k on my 630 in only a few months, zero issues.

I was looking at a nice 07 SM610 with 5k miles for $5k, then I heard about the sale on 630's...

I've got about 14,000 miles on my 08 and I bet many others have a bunch more... I've gone through, 1 wood ruff key, 1 temp sensor, 1 spark plug, 1 fuse, 1 air filter, 1 clutch cable, 1 clutch actuator, 1 actual valve adjustment, a few chain n sprocket sets, and a boatload of tires in that time.... :) And loved EVERY mile of it.. :)

I apprecite the reassuring words. Thank you. Now hopefully I can satisfy this itch! ;-) Looking forward to joining the wonderful world of Husky
