  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I've had my '14 CR125 for about a year and was thinking about putting the 144 kit on. I pulled everything out of the box to and found a bag of what I can only assume are spare bolts and clips and two things I have no idea what they are.

I'm not sure what the round clamp / retainer ring thing is.

or what this spring loaded thing-a-ma-gig is

Feel kind of silly asking but would certainly appreciate some help.

The round clamp and the spring loaded cajigger go together. It is a holeshot device and would install on the fork leg (the clamp goes on the fork tube and the springy part attaches to the fork guard).

Goes on your fork guard to hold the forks down on the start. To keep you from wheely-ing! After market kits go for about 100.00. Watch the start of the Supercross tonight! They release when the front end dives. At least they're supposed to!

Awesome! Thanks for the replies!

I've been looking through the 144/165 install threads and there are two other things in my bag of parts I'm not 100% sure what they are for.

The small black rubber bushing or gasket and the pin. I didn't see either mentioned in the threads. This will be the first time I've ever done a top end on a bike. In case that wasn't obvious.

I believe the seal is for where the power valve rod goes into the jug.

The pin should go in the jug to hold the rod in place.
