    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Kinda weird seeing my name on here in the General Section.

Havent been on here, just too busy, and when i am its just a fast post for the Trip to the Tip and or the Baja 1000 race. Just NO TIME!

Im moving. 144 boxes. No internet connections--have to drive 15 miles to a town with a library. Not to mention all the fun of hooking up a broken septic system, pump, water heater, etc. etc. House was trashed a bit. So right now its just not a normal time. Some health crap to deal with lately as well, but im feeling better last few days.
I was out with a very serious case of pnumonia. Still get tired in the afternoon. Scarry stuff.

I replied today to your email about the tires, just few minutes ago. Sounds like we will wait for the next shipment from Australia. No biggee.

Didnt get any email or call from Jake. If he sent one, i missed it, will look again. He knows whats up, guy just has to be patient. Im sick. Im moving. Its a major pain in the butt to deal with someone who sent a cashiers check.

I was told he has posted somewhere on here, and you have referenced that, but i dont really have time for this.

Jake knows he will have to wait a bit. Told him so myself. He made me wait, so now its his turn--but honestly not out of spite, its just that ive moved and everything is topsy turvy right now.

Why the public ridicule? Its weak.
 
OK-found the post from Shane on the Baja 1000 post. Tried my best to be all nice and apologetic and all that. :thumbsup:

But really im confused about Shane/Jake. If there is a second post somewhere or message i dont know about it, and im not ignoring it, just dont have time to search. Late for my girls, and its Pizza Nite!

Its all good, i truly hope. Im all about Husky solidarity. Will bend over backwards to keep it all good in the family. :thumbsup:

I've been looking into some server and software issues full time... Dunno where we will end up, just like most threads on forums :p
