• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

just like to say hello to everyone, new to the forum literally just signed up,
ive recently bought a husky sm125s, my mate has a wr125 and few others have gas gas
ktm's etc, were into light trail riding at the moment but wish to get more serious
with the enduro, basicly i have a few questions about the sm125s i need clearing up lol

WP_20140211_002.jpg thats my sms not long after i bought her, obviously shes a supermoto so trail riding was out of the question, i luckily managed to get my hands on some wre wheels that were in good condition, (off a 06) for a very good price. WP_20140221_003.jpg so now the wheels are on, new bearings front and back, new back tyre, new front tyre coming monday so that should be fun haha (back one was a pain in the arse to fit) WP_20140222_002.jpg up the woods yesterday, really good fun and the bike handled fabulously considering i have a rather bold front tyre haha, anyway i just thought id use this thread to say hello and show my progress of the bike, i will be investing a fair few bucks into this bike so she should start looking diffrent over the next few weeks, cheers for looking take it easy :)
 
Hi huskymandan, nice buy! What an awesome bike for that part of the world mate. If your wheel bearings were shagged your linkage and steering head bearings might be unhappy also. Does your kick starter lever tough your header or is it just the photo?
 
Cheers buddy, im very pleased with the bike at the moment, build guilty and ride ability is superb for just a 125cc, the bearings wernt actually too bad i just replaced them as i replaced the wheels, for the small price tho i will do as you said and change headstock bearings and linkage, yeahh the kick start does touch the header pipe, not sure why to be honest its annoying haha, ive tried to see if it was the exhaust sat incorrectly but everything's as it should be, my mates wr has loads of space from the bottom of the fuel tank and the header, i think its just the design, cheers for poping in mate i do have some questions to ask when u get time thanks :)
 
Welcome, nice bike which gives you the best of both worlds, you live in the best part of the country for off road too, love popping into Wales for the odd enduro.

cheers freaky, yeah the woods and trails here are pretty awsome haha, hard work at the moment though due to the weather lol its all fun though, im off out this morning going deeper than i did last ride, will get some snaps of today and upload them :) cheers for saying hi mate
 
right sooooo my first of many questions about the husqvarna sm125s if anyone knows lol, everything i believe is stock, apart from the header pipe and silencer which is DEP pipes. Im going to clean her up after my ride today and clean the carb etc, what size main jet should i have with this dep pipe? i will find out whats actually in the carb at the mo once ive been out, also its a 28mm carb and i have a 38mm here which i was told would fit but im assuming id need diffrent reeds, jets etc if i was too use that? im only asking about this as my freinds wr 125 has a 38 carb and it is a bit quicker than my sm125s, not noticable at all though, cheers in advance haha take it easy guys :)
