• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I drove 4 hours (one way) to look at a "mint condition" 2009 wr300 they had on craigslist. What a pos, it was the most wrecked bike I have ever seen. These guys are awful, this is my 3rd and last bad experience with them. I am always shocked at bad service in this super niche market. I guess Halls and Key time get my business.

If you are buying a new bike from them it is OK. But the time I bought my te 250 from them, they did not even stock a oil filter for it**************************************** My advice. Pay a little more and buy from Halls, or a KNOWN reptable Husky dealer. Besides that if a big dealer sells you the bike, and you do have a problem, you are more likely to get help from the big dealer. Paul is not a bad guy. But I have seen some used txc's from there at races and for what ever reason NOT running right. I'm not sure. The fact they say Glen K rode that WR your talking about. WTFK's if that is even true!! It has a decal kit on it!! Again if you are buying a new one (and want to set it up yourself) You can get a good deal. But parts? What parts? I'll continue to drive over 11 hours to Halls and be HAPPY!!! Even if it is for a 2012 Gas Gas this year****************************************:excuseme:

I agree, that bike was gk's bike. But it was horrible worse yet is someone purchased it th next day off eBay. I would lv to see the buyers face when they get the bike and see how trashed it is. The worst part is husky NA keeps giving him the product. Not cool BMW !

Bob is the fastest Husky racer in MN, and he drives to Halls. Enough said...

You know I like that and may have to think twice before I bail from Husqvarna************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************!!!

Mail order. My dealer is only 40 miles away, but I ask them to mail me the parts more often than not.
It would cost me $20 in gas and 2 hrs to pick them up vs. $5-10 to ship most of my orders and I get them next day.

I'm also not sure if they are accurate on the way they list some of their used bikes . The Glen Kearny and so on. I dought G C rides with a stock pipe and no real mods. It is as if they or someone else throws on a decal kit and then they use the name to try too sell it. Again Paul himself is not a bad guy. But on a serious note I myself would not let them adjust the valves on a Husky no matter what. When I asked what a valve adjustment would cost, I got a dumb founded look and a est of 150-200. Kind of shakey I thought. Also remember when you buy a bike for example from Halls, it for sure is set up properly and jetted and Halls I know throws some grease on the suspension linkage. Heinans, I always just signed the paperwork as if the bike was setup (yep they charged me for it) and then brought the crate home and drug it in the living room, got a 12 pack and prepped it myself. This is great for a guy like me, but what if? What if the idiot buying the bike does not prep it right and has a brake failure? I'm sure it is against BMW/Husqvarna to sell a bike in the crate for warrenty purpose, etc... I think the buyer should be able to because it is cool to crack the crate yourself. They sell alot of new Husky's at a good price. I'm not really sure what I think of it all, I saw the 300 that was for sale and I could tell it was a polished tird!!! That bike I think is on ebay right now.

Heinen's in osseo, MN:thumbsdown: Would never buy from them again. Horrible customer service. Paul doesn't have a chance at keeping that business afloat.

He will keep it afloat because alot of people look at the bottom $$$$$$$ , and well they sell Huskys cheaper then anywhere else. And alot of them. But yes, they need to change a bunch of things in order to gain a good reputation. Used bikes anywheres, buyer beware**************************************** For my race bikes or for a few more $$$$ I will continue my drive to Hall's!!!

It will die sooner or later. You can only piss off so many people. Customer service is the key to running a business, if you cant trust them saving a few bucks means nothing.

Odd,, I have purchased 4 new Husqvarna's, 1 new JFR1300 and 2 new YFZ450s from them and haven't had problems however with a recent change in their service department management.. that could be different. In addition, previous warranty claims with Husqvarna and Yamaha were resolved quickly by their previous service manager.

Ok, so other than that 300 from the OP, what "customer service" problem have you guy had? I dealt with one of the shop guys and my experience was great. They did far more for far less than I expected- twice.

I believe the issue was the condition of a used bike. There have been several people happy enough after buying new Husqvarna's then prep the bikes themselves in the past.

Exactly and I have done that in the past. There prices on new bikes are great. Used bikes are always in question until you look at them. The bike in question has really worn side cases, indicating without a drive a good amount of hours. I do not think the question is really about service, but more of a misrepresented used bike. Again, Paul has been good to me and in 04 gave me a WR 250 for one hec of a price and got me another $500 off for A rider deal (Cost out the door I think was $3,500 or so) It sucks driving that far, but maybe the guy should have asked them to send some better photos or something. Primo low hour used bikes are hard to come by!! I once got a (I think) 02 cr 250 from a rich rancher in iowa. It was like in the movies a stunning house etc... I got out of my truck and he said do you want to fire it up. I replied NOPE and handed him the money. The bikelooked like a grandpa rode it in the back yard for 1/2 and hour or so. Contrary in a 1991 I drove 4 hrs one way to get a MINT wmx 125 Husqvarna a Cagiva with Husky decals. I guess mint condition means leaky fork seals, shot wheel bearings, ripped seat, shody plastic THE LIST GOES ON!!! I still bought the bike (for $1,000.00). Anyways pictures do lie and one persons idea of mint to anothers, varys greatly****************************************

My crystal ball says those days may be behind us, but I really don't know..

very funny - I said exactly the same thing a month ago!

I purchased my bike from heines .The bike had some oxidation on the starter and a few other parts. The battery was dead when i got it. Dusty with few cobwebs .The back tire had a mild to moderate scratch on the rim .The tires had Zero air pressure .There were also a few nicks in other spots. They do not communicate with the buyer very well.Never got any phone calls For shipment payment received nothing had to call them for everything. Not trying to bash on heines cause they do have really good pricing and the bike got hear in one piece and the oxidation is not really there fault .Just wish they would had put air in my tires and charged my battery before shipping and i guess no one noticed the back rim scratched I was able to somewhat buff it out .It is the price you have to pay when doing long distance deals makes me think twice about buying bikes close to water. Better to buy from the desert if possible. Other than that good price and the bike is in one piece. They seem like a good company with good pricing just need to communicate better with buyers and pay more attention to detail. They were the only ones with the 450smr at that price. The scratch in the back rim hurt the worst but at least you can only see it up close .It is always better to buy locally if possible if not you are always taking a chance at not being fully satisfied .Might be worth the extra buck to buy locally.Oh well could have been worse really not that bad i guess.IF i had to do it all over again and could not find anything locally at that price I might risk it for a biscuit.what do you expect it has been sitting for several years it was a 2010.All minor stuff and am really happy to own a husky and have to give thanks to Heines or i would not have been able to afford the bike if it was not for there low pricing so i give 1 thumbs up.

I think with a little more effort they could make things better. Again Paul has always been fair with me and in 04 got me a A rider discount through Husqvarna (a new bike for $3,500!!!) I do not like the fact you pay for setup whether or not you take it in the crate. But your right for the money hey. It does hurt the resale of used units to. Most of these issues and people being mad seem to be from them being stupid with how they represent their used bikes. The next time I see Paul I seriously will talk to him about these issues (if he will listen) Anyone in Minnesota also remember there is Butch's Boats in Barnesville MN that sells Husky's

Mine was brand new out of the crate.Haven't had any experience on there used bike.Buying a used bike is always questionable and would recommend asking more question, wanting more pics and so on.Yes Paul does seem to be a good guy .
