  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Heim balljoint that bolts to the back of the brakepedal and operates the mastercylinder plunger? 2012 CR144.

I'd noticed it was getting sloppy but didn't envision it falling off at a bad time....relulting in a severely overjumped dragonback and jacked (not broken thankfully) wrists.

The bolt and ball part of the heim are still securely bolted to the pedal. I'm stuck hope I can find the parts (2 pieces) before the Senior national this weekend. Looks thye same as some KTM's I looked at.

Lol I wish that was the case! I'm no slouch but my guess is that some of your guys DO have play. Check them, I came close to a season ender over it, and finding out just how much my wife loves me with two broken wrists!! My bike has 61 hours FYI.

Hall's lead me to believe that it isn't that uncommon, as they had the Heim part in stock under a Ducati part# that was cheaper than the Husky part # (I think it's really just a brembo part). Bob said, " It's the same I promise, I sell them all the time". He then used his parts locator to find me the second part that attaches to it, the pushrod, at GP cycles in San Diego. Checked with Bills, they were nice but had nothing for me.

Looks like MAYBE my weekend is salvaged!

That's one maintenance item that's due on my rig. Sometimes the rod kicks over and jams tight on the cylinder and will not actuate till you bump the pedal a couple times. Good to hear Halls is familiar with the issue.
