  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hard time finding parts and plastics

I just picked up a 2005 husky tc250 but I've been having a hard time finding parts and plastics especially fork guards anyone know of and good sites that carry a lot of older husky stuff also I noticed the newer huskys 05+ look vey simalir to my 05 any of the newer years/models plastics/parts fit the older bikes

I literally just bought a full set of plastics from Rocky Mountain ATV & MC for just over 100 bucks. All plastics except for the fork guards, which I got from jetworld powersports. Jetworld has gotten everything I ordered for my '08 TE 250 and '13 TE 449.

UFO, Acerbis and Polisport make plastic parts that will fit the TE250 / TC250 perfectly. If you do a Google search you will find some new parts on EBay as well. I bought a whole brand new set for a 2008 TE250 for ~$100 and everything fit perfectly.

Pay attention to the colors (gray vs. black for ex.); also you will find that there is a whole range of years that fit ... they did not change the shape of the plastics a whole lot over the years, you can tell from the pictures. Good online pictures help.

just bought the fork guards from jetworld powersports i got the 06 ones since i know they will be black and not blue like the 05 thanks for the heads up on that ill get the rest from rmatv

Make sure those 06 fork guards are for the 250, the bigger bikes went to 50mm forks in 06 but the 250 stayed with the 45mm forks that the whole line up used in 2005.

Note that jetworld doesn't always update their order info. They don't usually charge my card/paypal until they have physically found and ordered the part so be patient.
