• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there, I hope you are having a great day.

In honor of my Dad, I am posting this picture taken by him many years ago. My brother is on the left on the 400, I am on the right on the 250. I've sometimes wondered how he afforded two new 1970 Huskys in one year, but I know it was hard work and long hours at his job.
My fondest memories of those days are of Dad, coaching me; every lap of every moto being next to the track signaling me, often with the palms of his hands down, meaning to back off because I was riding beyond my abilities. Many years later, I well remember the lessons he taught me, both on and off the track.

Here's to my Dad, who we lost a few short years after this photo was taken, and far too soon.

Wanted to give a shout out to Grant Gibson, he is a professional photographer that loves vintage MX, he captured these images and sent them to me free of charge. He is located in the Mid Atlantic region and would love to be your photographer for your next event.....

We as four brothers has so many bicycle accidents as kids we only had a rupp/dart go kart 2 1/2hp. Your lucky your dad rode with you. I was 47yo when we started riding.
My youngest son rode with me. Now his son rides too three generations. That's cool about father's day.

If my mom or dad ever seen the 5yo grandson on the Suzuki jr50 they would say something. There no longer with us RIP.
