Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there, I hope you are having a great day.
In honor of my Dad, I am posting this picture taken by him many years ago. My brother is on the left on the 400, I am on the right on the 250. I've sometimes wondered how he afforded two new 1970 Huskys in one year, but I know it was hard work and long hours at his job.
My fondest memories of those days are of Dad, coaching me; every lap of every moto being next to the track signaling me, often with the palms of his hands down, meaning to back off because I was riding beyond my abilities. Many years later, I well remember the lessons he taught me, both on and off the track.
Here's to my Dad, who we lost a few short years after this photo was taken, and far too soon.
