• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just makes me happy to get Emails like this especially first thing Monday morning. KTM damper customer.

"Hey Kelly,

I had a chance to ride the bike on Saturday. We have a trail in Texas that has deep sand, tight single track, rocky climbs, fast ATV trails…a little bit of everything. I can’t believe the difference the damper makes. I am a convert…will never ride without one. Yours is amazingly easy to use. I would flip it over to H in deep sand on the river bank and it would hold rock solid riding at 40 MPH and flip it back to the middle for everything else. My riding buddy was amazed at the difference in my riding speed and confidence. My buddy has a Scotts damper and he was eyeing mine with some jealousy. He was amazed at how small it was. Then I told him how easy it went on and I suspect he will be putting a Motorsportz on his next ride.

Thanks again…a great product that holds up to all the Internet hype!

Brgds,

Mark"

Will your damper work with the Highway Dirt Bikes upper and lower clamps?

Should work fine. I have the HDBs on my 511

more good Monday customer responses...

"Hi Kelly,
So I used the damper on my 450 over the past few days. We rode for 3 days over all sorts of terrain. The damper was amazing. The bike was stable everywhere from high speed logging roads to single track loaded with large boulders. I tagged a few trees with the bars that I know would have jerked the bars from my hands but the damper took it. I was suppose to take my 300 for a day but it got to stay clean. I was loving the 450 too much!
So I was wondering if I can get you to send me a damper for my 300? Colin" (Canada)

yeah Kelly.. you damper was better than scotts for sure. too bad you could not get me one for my WR.
