As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Running renthal twinwalls and can't figure out which hand guards are gonna fit. I like Cycra Pro-bends but do I need the center reach mount or just the standard 1-1/8" mounts? Anyone done this?
Where did you find the BRP mounts? Thanks Ken. Was pretty inexpensive, The guards were 35, the BRP mounts around 40ish and the black mud guards not pictured were 20. Really strong, nothing moves. Got finished install pics at home, will load up tonite.
Be careful on sourcing shortie levers. When I was fooling around with my HDB mounting I looked for some, everywhere I could think of. Look at your stock levers and note that the "jog" around the switches is exceptionally long. If it isn't, the lever will hit the switch assembly and not give a full pull all the way to the grip. Looking at my WRR and TE, their levers would never work. I couldn't fine anything on line that looked like it would work the same way as the stock Magura levers. At least I think it's Magura from the symbol stamped on them. That being said about shortie levers, I noticed that ASV list levers for Husky, We need a investagate the possibility they may fit.
Got those from my Husky Dealer "Toytech" in Grantville, PA. 717-469-9484 if you want to call them or I can ask him where he sourced from and post.Where did you find the BRP mounts?
thanks

Call Scott at Toytech. He discounts and would probably ship to you. He is a good guy and will go the extra for you. He is within walking distance of the post office.i found them on BRP mounts on their website. They sell for over $60. By the time I get them shipped to Canada it would be more like $80.
If I could find a deal like you I would buy some.
Thanks
Easy-peasy! I cut mine off to mount my Cycra hand guards with no hesitation and actually like the feel without the balls. Why, if you have hand guards, is the ball even necessary? If you don't have guards, I understand you don't want the lever going through your leg or something. But if you have guards, does it really matter?short levers: make your own, snip the ball off, trim to size, weld the ball back on. easy-peasy.
