• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Guy giroux to ride husqvarna

Husqvarna
AA Class
Guy Giroux, will be racing a 2010 Husqvarna in the Canadian Enduro Championships and FSMQ Hare Scrambles next season.

Guy is the winningest off-road racer in Canadian history.

More details will be posted this weekend from the Toronto Bike Show.

He raced the CEC rounds in 2009 for BMW Motorrad on a G450X but bought a CR125 from me on his own dime last summer.

Guy has ridden just about everything over the years except for a Husky. He has ridden mostly for KTM and Suzuki in the last 7-8 years.

It is funny that North Americas fastest racers on Huskys are from Canada.

Canadians do lots of things better than we do.:banghead:
I once saw an interview of some high-up minister, (I forget who she was though) and she was shocked, SHOCKED that a guy who admitted that god spoke to him could get elected. Said she "couldn't imagine" that happening in Canada.

Plus you also have that terrible health care up there that you all apparently hate.:excuseme:

I do not understand why the two societies are so different.:excuseme:

Whoo was the wild canadian who looks like a Viking who raced the last man standing in lke 05-06 on a Husky? I thought that was Guy?

Guy G. is a great personality. He has that crazy french sense of humour.

I look forward to talking to him at the bike show.

You know what i like about this statement He bought a CR 125 on his own dime Well that says it all once you ride a CR 125 it is all over

Top factory rider goes from a 450 to a 125 must be something about the joy of ringing out a CR 125
