Canadian racer Cory Graffunder, aboard his TC 449 Husqvarna, raced to an impressive victory at Round 4 of the WORCS series. The Lake Havasu round is one of the most demanding courses that WORCS will race in 2012. Cory and his Husky showed the rest of the Pro 2 class what a good bike and a well conditioned rider can do when the going gets tough. Running in fourth place on the first lap, Graffunder would move into second by lap three and was putting pressure on the leader. Once in the lead the Husky rider would put 10 seconds a lap on the KTM Factory rider Ivan Ramirez. Cory's lap times continued to drop for the entire race and he would cross the finish line well ahead of KTM riders Ramirez and Ian Blythe. Cory said on the podium “the win was great and the bike was amazing in the sand.” When asked what was next on his agenda his response was “EnduroCross 100% round 1 is in May and X Games is coming. We are testing the 310 and I will be putting a lot of laps on the new bike.” (note) Cory Graffunder is currently the points leader for the AMA West Hare Scrambles Championship series, with the next round in Shasta California.
