• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GPR exhaust

Arrived today, and this evening in a very small space in my workshop managed to fit it together!:D
Getting the old one off was easy, even at the header pipe. What do you do with all the stock parts:eek: , getting a bit full in the workshop as none of my bikes have stock pipes on!
Some fiddly bits but not too bad and more to be had to see how the cover fitted correctly .
Final check and start her up and wow a real bike sound. As it is now dark here I will ride her to work in the morning and take some pics.

Wish could hear in person, doubt video would do it justice. The overall shape of the can matches the lines of the bike better. Someone probably has already pointed that out....oh well.

IMAG0597[1].jpg OK, first day out on the Strada with new exhaust and Hi flo filter. Bike before the added parts was at best say peppy but flatspot at 2000 rpm, stalling when pulling out of a junction which was interesting and a lot of popping due to weak mixture which the Husky mechanic said that people would pay for that noise on a Ducati, HUH!
To start with a new seat from Concept which added a comfier perch. Next the Eruption which killed all the above and made it more fun to ride and still blasted along at 90+. Then the new filter and finally at the moment the GPR exhaust. Again better and much more controllable at lower revs, like 2000 rpm in top and would pull away smoothly well for a single .Much nicer sound and its a much better bike to ride as the sound now matches the stroke if you get my meaning!
The exhaust came with two baffles, one had a smaller end hole but I stuck with the larger one.
I am very pleased with the build quality and also the fit as you didn't even need to bend and tighten to keep the pipes from hitting the frame etc, all went together well!
Here are some pics of the bike to date.IMAG0595[1].jpg

Played with camera mounts, so here's another one of the single setup. Rear facing so can probably pick up the sound better.

Just something to watch… This mounting bolt on the exhaust can bounce a bit and bite into the rear side plastic. If this would make you grumble then it might pay to cover the end of the bolt with a rubber boot or work out another solution before you hit the rough roads.

Here are a few pics of the exhaust when I first got it. Really good quality, perfect welds. Did not get a chance to weigh it as was in a hurry to assemble and take the bike to Rexxer. Will say that the throttle response was improved. Bike just seemed to have gained in torque, revved quicker. Bike feels noticeably lighter. Well worth the price in my opinion.

I can vouch for the above info.

Damn...that was my first thought too.
I told myself I would not dump this kind of money into this bike, but I really like the single set up.....crap.

Same here...just torn between the dual and single still. I'm hoping someone will get the dual setup soon and post a vid of it in action so I can hear more of it before I pull the trigger.

Anyone here ordering the dual exhaust?

Single looks nice...I'm waiting to hear how the reflash works with the pipe to decide which way to go.....I like the way the 2 pipes look but love the thumper sound and less weight.......

If its any consolation I have been informed that the duel exhausts create torque higher up the rev range and single pipes are at the lower range which is where most of my riding is!
