• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got my '09 Brochure

Fran Bottone included an '09 brochure in my last package.:applause: Looks nice, some pics of Ty Davis already. Vintage shot to preface Enduro bikes. I think the pic is Alan Wickstrand at '83 ISDE Wales?

There might be a few tech errors, but a nice overview of all he lines in one place.

Nice
Was 83 the "dream team" year of all Husky Guys from Husky USA Factory riders or was that 84..........Me thinks it was 83 but.....................

'82 Czecho was the "Dream Team".... They rode the "New" White Tank '83 bikes and came a Jury decision away from winning the World Trophy. The Czechs won it by some strange coincedence. Go Jawa!:busted:

Its a slick brochure with cool pics for sure.

"Heros Ride Husky"

I like the fact the 610 is listed, and its "Rally Ready" :applause:

Dream Team if you say so

Of all the pics and posters I ever had hanging up as a kid it was the pre day 1 photo of the team all lined up and I wish I could find that phot again and get a huge "phathead" sized one for my wall. Sounds sick maybe but I love Huskys that much and the 83 was the most pretty Husky ever in my eyes. The damn "flying milk wagons" is what one of my old friends called the 83 WR430's.

PS not the so called dream team...........it was the dream team and be proud of being on it. I just cant recall all the members though.........any help?

As I recall Dirt Bike or Rider did a write up on that event. My best memory of the coverage was a chick sunning herself in a bikini with a hand painted sign that read " Czechs Accepted" :busted:
