• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got a few pics of the bikes to share

nice group, the 80s husky bikes dont get much respect but they make great playbikes. we here know what they accomplished on the professional level in their day. anytime i watch 80s enduro or isde 6 day videos there are tons of these things..way more than other brands.

HEY ****************************************
 ********************************************************************************!

Wow, nice collection of bikes, 86 400 XC.
I sure like those 500's, especially the famous 82.5 500 Silverstreak. I should have never sold mine. Crap.

Now you need to add a few 430s and an Auto. :)

A lovely collection. A good idea to line them all up together for a photo shoot. Just hope no light fingered folks can work out where they all live from the shots!

1 of the silver tank bikes is a 83 430 WR in a 84 XC frame.
Its a bike i built around a spare motor and pipe i had, old Huskydoggg (Steve) gave me a nice roller dirt cheap with good shocks even.
Its my Billy GROSSI wanna be bike lol.
My 86 XC 400 got a cylinder swap to a 87 430. So i have 2 but not so legit by VIN.

I do want a 87 430 AE or a 500 now haha

The real "Huskydoggg" treated me right more than once that's for sure, always something extra in that box... What a cool guy and very help full with my builds.

He sure is great, gave me many cool parts and posters.
He is having a blast riding a dual sport all over and hiking.
No fixxed address, just riding where ever.
Here is a pic of Steve from yesterday, he is in Vilcabamba Ecuador ·

I Picked up a 85 XC 400 for $400 on the weekend with my want add.

Steve was great for getting a few hard to find parts for my 1986 430AE rebuild. Always shipped with a little 'bonus'.
Steve used to work for Steen Hansen, I was a sponsored rider of Steen Hansen's distributing company back in the 80's. Met up with Steen a few weeks back at the Husqvarna Canada sponsored Grand Prix de Mud event. Hadn't seen him in almost 30 years, it was cool talking about the old times and common friends. that's when Steve's name came up.
How did you come across a recent travel photo of Steve, are you following him on social media? If so, could you share that with us? Always wanted to do something like that.

Paul Andratis.

I found some of his travels on you tube as well, just search Steve Travels and it should come up . I'll have to check out the fb.
