• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Good Quality Lithium Replacement Batteries In Australia

Dangermouse449

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Just a short note to mention that I am very impressed with a product I found here in Aus.
I don't sell them, just think they are a good value for money product.

I had starting trouble with my original lead-acid battery in my TE449, fully charged & in good condition, it would sometimes loose the tripmeter & clock readings while cranking over & had issues winding through the compression stroke if the engine stalled.

I did a bit of calling around & was impressed with the SSB brand.
They don't make a fuss of it on their web-page, but they also have an inbuilt management system so they can be treated like a lead-acid in all respects as far a charging & use.
Plus, they have a big increase in Cold Cranking Amps and a decrease in weight.
Also they offer a 24 month full replacement warranty.

The TE size lead acid is around 1.5 kg, the SSB is 0.6kg!!
Lead acid CCA = 130, SSB CCA = 220.

I have had mine now for nearly 12 months with no issues.
I don't run a trickle charger, but the bike starts as normal after as much as 5 weeks when I've been away for work.

Check them out if you are after a well priced light-weight battery in Aus.

This is good to read as I fear battery waist it the next big hurtle.

"Lithium Batteries are also 100% organic, fully recyclable and pollution free, making them an excellent green energy source."

Also, if you,re in Qld hit up rabskyline as he sells them.

Thanks DM, I do sell them, I too don't make a fuss about it, margins are tiny, I just like the product.
2yr no quibble warranty, can be run flat and will come back (unlike valve controlled SLA (AGM) and 100% organic and very very safe.
Weight is much like an iPhone, very light.
I don't put mine on tender, it has 220cca and throws plenty into a wr450f that it'll start,on comp stroke(normally they won't start like this) .
2yr+ shelf life ! :)

Motobatt are another brand we see here in oz, never tried them though.
