  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

good day then a bad day

Raced a hare scramble saturday on my 2010 txc250 turned 310. Bike ran awesome. It has the stock txc250 ecu with power commander/autotune and 12 port injector. Came home cleaned the bike put a fresh air filter in. Sunday I go to an enduro and the bike stumbles real bad off of idle. I tried to ride it with keeping the rpm's up but thats a tough task in the tight trees. I must have stalled it 50 times. It made for a real crappy day. Weather was the same both days. I'm not sure what to do. How can a bike run awesome one day then be so bad the next?

Hey mate, what was involved in turning your bike into a 310?

I've seen 310 kits for 2009 or older 250 but not for the X lite bikes.
I bought all oem Husky parts. Cylinder, piston, crank, timing chain, headbolts, timing chain guides, and gaskets. Had to machine the cases for the cylinder.

Water shorting the spark plug wire where it connects to the cap. While there look at the other end where the wire goes into the coil.

+1 on this.

Also, if this doesn't fix it, it may be a clogged injector. Had my 2010 TXC 250 start doing almost the same thing. Would run pretty good up at high rpm, but wouldn't run for crap down low. Took the injector out and touched the 2 wire connectors with the 2 posts on a 9v battery. This opens the injector. Take an air hose and blow through all the injector holes. Problem solved.

Its the only wire on the plug. I actually think its a diode or something thats shrinked wrap. It was on the bike when I bought it and by chance I had another to put on which was double shrinked wrapped.
