Pro Class
This was my first hare scramble in a couple years, it was also my first ever long course hare scramble. It was one hell of a fun time with all sorts of variety. I ended up finishing 5th out of 16 in the 200b class and had an absolute blast doing it.
I had planned on a 2-1/2 hour race and was a bit worried when I heard they bumped it up to 3 hours. I rode 9 laps around the 7 mile course and had some cramping in my legs the last few laps. I made one stop for fuel, downed a power bar gel and headed out. It was the most fun I have ever had racing.
While the short course was racing I rode around and took pictures, while I should have been hydrating.
My friend Ben's writeup on the race is here and his article about local pro rider Anthonee Gibbs fun with a flat tire is here...
A few favorites from the short course...
Sweep class winner...:smirk:
Ben, Long course photog, Open C class winner, and wicked cool writer.
