  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Has anyone in the US had luck with ordering from GMX out of UK? I have emailed twice and no response. I just have to have the blue coolant hoses for my 2008 CR 125.

Is there anyone from the UK that is willing to be a "middle man" if I can't get them shipped to the US from GMX?
 
You might be better off contacting a UK Husky dealer for help. I've tried to contacting GMX a couple of times with no luck.
 
The few times I've dealt with euro companies, they did not respond to my emails, you have to just call.
 
have you checked on ebay? i found some hoses for my kx on there from hong kong. sounds cheep but i have a friend whos run them with no problems.

Yes those are the cheaper hoses (which would be fine). But none for 125.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitation knock offs from HongKong.
These are not true silicone hoses. And I would think the ones on your bike are far superior.
Unless you're just after the bling of having coloured Rad hoses.

Bottom line is "You get what you pay for". The hoses fromwww.sfsperformance.co.uk are of top quality and cost a lot.
(they just happened to be colored too.:D

I have clicked on the link and it doesn't seem to work or their website is down. I agree I don't want the made in china ones either, I would rather keep the stock ones. I will try to call the distributor in Canada (Eurocorsa) and see if I find anything out.

I talked with Mark from Eurocorsa and he was the most friendly, knowledgeble, customer service person I have talked to in years.

You were exactly correct that sfsperformance supplies GMX and he is getting my product shipped from the UK immediately.:cheers:
 
Got my hoses!!!

I received my hoses in the mail today after almost 2 months of waiting. :banghead:

I bought them from Eurocorsa out of Toronto. They are a distributor for SFS Performance who supplies GMX. Very nice hoses great color/quality. I in no way believe that Mark at Eurocorsa had anything to do with them being late. He bent over backwards to see that I got my hoses. As stated in previous posts, the best customer service I ever had. :thumbsup: He swears that he has never had this problem with shipping to the U.S.

Luckily, I was in no hurry and I do have a very rare set of blue silicone radiator hoses for my 08' CR 125.

Now I am happy. I will get a picture when/if I ever get this thing back together. :cheers:

They shipped from the factory, twice. The first set was "lost".....
