• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Glenn Kearney about his decision to race the National Enduro Series; “I raced the Little Brown Jug Enduro this year in SC and had a blast. It was the same format as the National Enduro, and it was the first time I had done this style of race. It is closer to the WEC and Australian championship style of Enduro that I really enjoy, so between Mark Brady, Scot Harden and myself we got the ball rolling to race the 2010 national Enduro series. The series is getting bigger each year and it's a perfect fit for Husqvarna, as the majority of their range is designed for this type of off road riding.
Glenn continues: ”Obviously I having never done a national Enduro, we still have a lot to learn, but we are looking to be right up the front battling for the championship.
Glenn plans to continue racing the GNCC series as well, his fiancee Krystle is coming back to the US with him again as my biggest supporter, and in addition I will also have my younger brother along for the ride, spinning some wrenches and maybe getting in a race or two, as he is the current Australian E1 off road champ.
Glenn: “I am excited about racing the new TXC 250 4 stroke Husqvarna in all races, I have a TC 250 here in Australia from Paul Feeny to train on, and the machine is unbelievable!”

I agree with the above post. Unless he has a bad race, he should top 5 most rounds.

1 Lafferty (Mike loves the Berg, I think he will win in 2010)
2 Bobbitt
3 Fahringer
4 Kearney
5 Bakken

That is my prediction for the top 5 overall.

Interesting that he'll be on a TXC 250. Wonder if he'll still ride the TC in GNCC?

I agree. I guess the new 250 can be brought up to snuff HP wise enough to race on the pro level.

I'm no pro level racer (by any stretch of the imagination) but having ridden the FE390 and owning a 2010 TXC250 i must say he should do well. the 390 makes more power but the TXC is a lot lighter and handles better. Will be interesting for sure. My 2 favorite 4 strokes going. This will be interesting to watch.

Scotty, you have ridden both right? What are your impressions?

All you 2010 TXC Flockers are making wish I had waited! ;)

Nah, I still like the TC and I think it'll whoop all your butts with the right rider (not me btw).

I havent ridden the TXC enough as we are snowed in to give it a fair report, but I know it is going to be good.

The FE390 is the benchmark for comparison right now in the off-road world. I am hoping to take the TXC down south this winter for the 1st 2 National Enduros so I should be ready to give a fair assessment after Sumter.
