• 4 Stroke Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Austria - About 2014 & Newer
    FE = 4st Enduro & FC = 4st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC glad I didn't wait for a 15'!

Doesn't look like I would have gained a bunch on a 15' vs my 14' fe350.... Hope they have something a little more exciting for 16'???

Same, I was on the verge of waiting also.

[quote="Steve Kanya, post: 424301, member: 5466. What a joke this is. An 06 YZ 250 is still a better bike in my humble opinion and I can buy a mint one for $2500. Re-valve, Rekluse Pro, 18" rear wheel, tank if u need it and eat steak every night for years.[/quote]
Ya but your cholesterol would be sky high! Lol no kidding. I've been eying yzs for a couple years

"06 YZ 250" should say 14' YZ 250f then we're talking! Heard that bike is sweet. But have to say to each there own, I know really fast guys who ride raged out old pos bikes but I make up for my lack of natural talent by throwing money at the problem. There are many people in both categories.

Wasn't really expecting anything different until '16. They won't announce US models for a bit yet. US Dealer Meeting isn't until September, so we might see a 501 DS bike then. The '14 bikes were really just.... rushed '15 bikes. I like the '14 graphics better.

Steve.... What would a '15 YZ250 cost? That's more apples to apples.

I like YZ250's, had not ridden one in a while. Rode a pimped out one with full ohlins front and rear yesterday. My 02 CR250 husky is better. YZ owner agreed. Forgot those things handle like a garbage. Felt heavier than my bike (even though I think it is lighter), turned horrible in comparison, my CR had a better motor, felt like a 300, steered way quicker and was more nimble. Even my home grown 12 year old suspension was better but I know this is a setup issue as i have ridden many a good suspended YZ. I was a Yamaha fan before I became a husky head. Going back really opened my eyes why I switched... handling.

And after an entire decade (10 yrs) , they finally got a 250 mx ama podium in the usa ... Not sure if it was a 2006 model bike though ...

So the 2015 is basically the same as the 2014 which is basically the same as a KTM. basically we can all agree that we are glad we paid a premium to get white blue and yellow one over an orange one. IMO Husky are nothing more than a graphic's package on someone else's bike. I wouldn't consider another one I would pocket the extra money and buy the orange one with more dealers support or buy something original that is actually evolving growing and reinvesting and buy a Beta

Pretty interesting thoughts there ... (Plastic with graphics and advertising are powerful though)

Like I said elsewhere.

KTM ARE THE APPLE OF THE DIRT BIKE WORLD, NOT THE BEST BY A LONG SHOT BUT THEIR MARKETING IS TOP CLASS !

Ktm buy over has done nothing for husky or their fans.

Ktm with a linkage, what's the point :(
