  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Im looking for an in tank fuel filter. Twin Air makes one but doesn't list my 2011 TE310 as a fit. I've learned that many times it's just because no-one tried to find out because it's a Husky. Now that they're popular, many items show but only for the newer models. I'm wondering if the gas cap on many japanese bikes is the same size as the Husky. For instance, my 12pt injector is from a kawasaki. My linkage bearings are from previous model Husky's that don't show on Pivotworks fitment selections. Here's
what I'm hoping will work.

Yours looks like it's the type recessed "rubber seal is at the bottom" ?

Mine has to have the seal that fits flush over the top.

Zip_Ty makes an inline filter that is awesome, washable, filters to 10 microns. that is what i am running in everything i own. just my .02

The fuel line from tank to injector is molded hard plastic and not that much room. The filler neck sock would be a little extra insurance when gassing up off the trail.

I will look into that spacing issue when doing my fuel injection service . I do external filters for my street bikes with custom lines and quick connect automobile filters because prohibitative price and difficult in tank access.

It said to fit 11-12 te 449-511 and now we know it fits 13 tc449. I have 09 te310. My gas tank opening is 1 and 13/16 and the lip is 3/16 thick. If someone could measure there gas tank filler neck opening. Thanks
