    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

125-200cc Fuel efficiency question

Hi all
i want to ask you about fuel efficiency in different type of riding.
I will be first) i got 144cc with 34mm carb, and jollymoto exhaust
Prev. ride was pretty hard, deep snow, 1,2 gears, almost all the time full throttle open and i get 20 liters per 100 kilometers!
Today i ride in more lighter conditions, and get 10L/100 km. Anyway it is way to much as for me, or isn't?
 
Really? It's twice more than regular 450 4 stroke! Plus oil! It make me feel like i should change my bike...
 
I've used a full tank before in 60km! Deeeeep sand
I also did 100km on Thursday of mixed flowing single trail/fireroads & didn't even hit reserve!
Standard tank 9.5L(can get 10.5L in there)
 
so it's much of how and where you ride?!
it's so unfair, 300cc gas gas riding with me, and doing same consumption, WR450 riding with me and making twice less consumption...

Two strokes make twice the number of combustion cycles as four strokes, so that seems logical that they use twice as much fuel.:cool:

This logic would be for the same overall gearing. Probably get the better two stroke mileage if the powervalve stays closed. Just like my pick up truck has variable valve timing. I went 25 miles on one turkey run on that 125 in my avatar to the gas available and could not quite get a gallon in, carried a little bottle of oil.
