    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Funny thing is now that its becoming legal they are fining GOBS of benefits from it and very little down side. Interesting times. Cannabidiol (CBD) is being found to have some major benefits especially to people that suffer from seizures. Oh, they also found it actually slows lung cancer. Wierd.
 
Back in 2012 some of you may recall I had a bad right leg injury, I ruptured my quad tendon and fractured the patella. My first surgery went OK but my rehab went poorly and during the 8 weeks of PT they couldn't get my range of motion back so the surgeon knocked me out and tried to break it loose in the OR... Baaad outcome. Another fractured patella. They did a repeat surgery 2 days later. This time I self medicated naturally and the healing and lack of swelling was noticed by everyone. Maybe just a coincidence but It worked really well for me. It's a touchy subject and everyone has an opinion. All I know is it worked for me.
 
That's a long way from it causes 'brain cancer' that was said through out the 70s as a deterrent... And now it is sent by god as the greatest ditch-weed in the world and cures all? I'll take the latter but also realize the actual truth is in the middle somewhere of both ideas somewhere ...

All those colorful words are a very good example of the dog&pony show we live in .... Shows how phony the world is .... This phony-ism \ cronyism does not start or stop here with this wild-wood weed ... We are blasted each and every day with crap on almost any and all subjects .... About any and all pics on the web today are all phony... I've see pics from decades ago that have been juiced-up ... They know what we want and give it to us ..Usually where the sun-don't-shine and it is usually good for so so many. Makes it easy for the rest of us to totally ignore it and wonder why anyone believes this crap.

I'm happy with just stopping ruining peoples' (young and old) lives over a weed that grows wild in ditches ... Go after the druggists of the world for your dog&pony show if you gotta justify your job in law enforcement and making the world safe. How's that for phoney-ism on the www scale?

Sugar causes so bad health effects, many think it should be controlled but that might help everyone's health ...Heath industry does not want or like that ... It's that bottom-line $ thing again. Dog&pony show again also ... Shed no tears and don't worry about it and go back to work ...You get 2 days a week off right? Beats the hail out of medieval times when it was zero days off a week .. Boy-oh-boy, mankind has come so far ;0 ..Don't take all that as crying; it's our world at this point in time; myself, I have a good time most days watching the world dance on by in front of me as drink a beer or ride a dirt bike or both.
 
Bad side to marijuana is it is just like any other drug, addictive, and that's never good no matter what anyone says.
 
Right to some degree .. But it is not physically addicting like most pharmaceuticals ...Or say, like say, cigarettes ... Has there been any issues with cigarettes over our lifetime? Unless recently, RJ reyonlds has never told what they put in with the tobacco to make it so additive ... I'm calling a sad dog&pony show on cigarettes and our health industry. Can you conceive life without the marlboro man? Or maybe not spending the TRLs on heath care and death? Don't both as it is not our reality. Could be tomorrow but do not count on it.

My father told me once that because it was called 'dope', that he and his generation stayed away from it and drugs in general. Sounds funny huh? This was before alcohol was correctly identified to the public as a drug also ... Sounds even funnier? Sounds impossible? It was what was pumped out to the public and we believed. Absolutely no different than the garbage pumped daily on the www and TV channels as we type.
 
Fact, people do get chemically dependent on pot. Frankly I for one ride dirt bikes as a way to stay clean and sober. Alcohol and drugs (including pot) ruined my life. So forgive me if I feel cafe husky is not the place to promote drug use of any kind. I have been clean and sober for almost six years. Dont get me wrong I am not saying everyone that smokes pot is an addict, but it can (and in my case) did lead to harder and more dangerous drug use. I for one would prefer to talk about our shared love of Husky motorcycles.
 
been tryin to tell u all along god put it here why do you think he did that???? its medicine and it not from BIG PHARMA theres no money in it for them and they and BIG OIL run the government they have lied to us for decades to line there pockets and keep us dependent on them you wana stop it quit voting the lyin, thieving bastards in term after term
 
I'm with you Rick ... I've seen lots of my friends die due to drugs ... Mostly abusing legal ones and some illegal ones... It has done myself harm from time to time also.

But this is not necessarily promoting drug usage in a negative way .. This is the laws of our land changing for the better possibility and IF if gets someone off the drug alcohol, which is also physically additive(?), I'm all for it. Look at the destruction alcohol has caused ... People have and will always want to change their state-of-being ... And yes that can be abused ...

And welcome back to reality ... You are a success story that so many never lived ...

I'm with you also Troy ... Just to add to your words, they are BSing right now on the web and TV propaganda shows that hide as news shows...Their stinking opinions are NOT news on any level and they are being payed to say them... There are belligerent idiots right now telling us what to do and how to live our lives and how great they are. ... We're smarter than most of the TV shows hosts and the clowns that they promote. We just choose NOT to think and that hurts us all in the long run. We were all born this morning and NO clues on the lives we have lead?
 
Thanks ray, I appreciate that. It is not easy, and I have a burning desire to help all addicts as I can. Thats why I responded to this post as I did.
 
it should be noted that almost all of this research is coming out of foreign countries the good ol USA is not the only civilized country with research labs

I was not promoting anything with this post. I saw the article and thought it might be funny to post here where we tend to break stuff (bones). And while we are talking about it I see endless posts about drinking beer and IMHO alcohol is WAY worse than weed. But I feel we are all adults here and can pick and choose topic we want to be involved in.
