• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FNG needs help with TE310

Suamico SD

Husqvarna
AA Class
I am picking up a new TE310 on Wednesday from MCC in Chicago.

I cannot find any horse power rating for it and have read a lot of conflicting reports on performance.

I am coming from a KTM 200exc which I loved, but wanted more torque.

I really think you should stick to orange...cause theres only one of us in the group cool enough to ride a husky, and I guess since I already own one that would be me!!

Seriously though; buy it, ride it, and love it. It'll blow that old relic KTM out of the water...

Based on your 200 [which is a very good bike],you will not lack horsepower. You will have to ride it differently though. Throttle & brakes will take some getting use to. Just ride it & get use to it. You will love it for sure.

Thanks, I picked it up yesterday and did one parking lot ride on it. Feels good, but no giant power hit.

I was surprised how lax the dealer was in the delivery. I ask very basic questions, like oil, valve adj. etc intervals. He gave me the owners manual and said read it and it will answer all your questions.

Now I have to wait for the snow to melt to really get some rides in.

Sweet customer service - "Don't bother me, just RTFM"!

Maybe he's their Sales Prevention Officer. :excuseme:

He was the owner!

 WOW!! I live maybe 10 miles from there. You think in this economy he'd be on his knees. Especially considering how long a drive it must be from N.E. Wisc. I hope you got some future discounts on parts & acc., gear etc. He is obviously aware of the business & customer care that Hall's reputation has. That sort of P.R. is no good. Enjoy the new ride. Sky Hy

Shoulda went south to Halls. I am headed there tomorrow and already wish i had bought my 610 from them, but got it soooo cheap I could not pass up a private party sale from MAINE!. I was going to take mine to MCC, but hear nothing about them and everything about Halls. I was/am THIS close to grabbing a leftover 250 as well, and the salesmen know there stuff.

I get to STL pretty frequently for work. I think Hall husky is closed on Mondays. Which is my usual travel day down to STL. It is too bad MCC were so lax and gave me a no confidence. It's too bad because I have a triumph also. They would have been a great one stop shop. It is by our Chicago office, that's how I ended up there in the first place. I get to Minneapolis/ St Paul at least once a month also. Any good husky dealer there?

I do not think there is a dlr in the twins either. Maybe st cloud

I was impressed by halls yesterday. I'll definatly be back for another TE in a year or so
