  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc First Husky/2-stroke(07 CR125)...can't stop smiling

C Class
Picked up an 07 CR125 from Dan at MotoXotica here in Vacaville and can't believe how well this bike handles and how fun it is to ride. I think there may be some carb issues as it's kind of hard to start somtimes and will leak fuel out of the overflow tube if I forget to turn off the petcock. It hasn't bothered me enough to take a look at it yet because I'm having too much fun riding it. Some buddies talked me into joining a veteran MX club and I will be primarily using the little husky. Curious what gearing people recommend for MX as well as tire size front and rear.

Here is a vid from my first day on a track with it. Not really digging the chest mount. Also, this is only the 3rd time i have ever been on a MX track...don't laugh. I know i'm not revving it high enough, i'm so used to 4-strokes:

you were going well for third time - well done - yeh fun bikes . I like the 06 - 08s.. Good luck with it .

You can order a float valve assembly from sudco. com and it will stop the leaking. I had the same problem and tried to adjust the valve height. Ended up buying the whole assembly and it fixed it. Good luck and they are great bikes.

Good to know thx! Any idea where I could find a stock tank for this bike? I love the bigger tank for trail riding but not so much while on the track.

Forgot the camera for my first race but got the 1st moto from my 2nd race weekend on camera. I ended up finishing 3rd in the 30+ beginner class...not too bad going against 450s! This was my first time riding this track(408MX in San Jose) so the first few laps are a little boring but I end up having a good battle with a buddy of mine on a 13 KX450:
