  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC FE350S OEM out of the box, super good

Swap out the ECU, that way you can (legally) post up all the steps it takes to de-smog the bike for Enduro competition. Just a thought?;)

What happen to the Beta?

Shes sitting in my garage really p@ssed at me for bringing in a mistress! :)
I was "browsing" the new Huskys at the local dealer and like a crack addict I brought another one home :D

Haven't decided if the Beta is getting the boot yet or not, but the Husky does what I like and spend 80% of my time doing, much easier than the Beta.
Im getting old and wanted a smaller bike, now Im hooked.

Funny when I said the same thing about the Beta I was bashing or even a troll. That cool aid is wearing off as the seat time on the Husky's goes up! It's not your age it's the brand, while Beta builds great 2t, 4t are lacking the edge that the competition has.

Yes it is but not up to the competition. You would think the same if you bought a 501 so it's not just the bore size. Where I found my Beta lacking is when I shifted out of first gear. Either case enjoy the bike!

hopfully I got my self dialed and had my cam working proper, the old guy cant see anything closer than 5 feet kills my camera work, I never know what mode the go-pro is in drives me nuts. I was following Andy on his FE350S and he was flogging the gal big time.

Too tall. I bought the TE310 for a reason. Still had to lower that, but at least not as much.

They make these damn things for basketball players these days. People say it's because of ground clearance, but in 2007 and prior, KTMs had 15" of ground clearance and 2" shorter seat heights, so I'm not buying the ground clearance excuse.

goofballness, I have the cam remote so i could mount it on my bars...I just gotta get my mind set into doing it.

Really? I keep hoping they stop making them shorter. The ergos are much smaller on these new ones catering to shorter riders. I had a mid 80's dirt bike that was taller and had better ergos than the smaller versions we get today. I guess they are trying to find common ground.

Moving to the Beta with the lower seat height I loss ground clearance. Many will tell you it's not important and if you're a top rider in may not be but I would never give it up. Slow enough to put your foot down and the bottom of the bike catches everything.
