  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC FE350 FMF power core or Q4

Im looking at getting a slip on muffler for my FE350s. What kind of experience do you guys have with the Q4 or the power core and a quiet insert? I would like to keep it on the quiet side I'm looking to add this with the Power commander for a little more low end.

I am a fan of complete systems, slip-on will help but if looking for low-end a header is the only simple route. Sound, at idle is just as quiet but a little deeper becoming louder at mid-top end. Not crazy loud but noticeably louder then stock. This is on a FE250.

Above statement is spot on , but in a effort to keep the budget level down the FE350 with a Slip on and with the PV5 is a real eye opener, ride it like and enduro and she has smooth easy power (+) ride the 350 like Cairoli and it becomes a rocket ship. This is from experience with our crew members FE350S DynoJet Research/ZipTy Racing test/R&D dial in mule. The thing is unleashed now.
He went full boat on the SL, Factory 4,1 RCT Carbon cap SL, and has the latest PC5 with ZipTy Racing tweak from Tinken in the rapid throttle response regime (kind of like accelerator pump function in the FI), the thing is both a tractor and a rocket ship, very very impressive result.
Basic Cost,,, Slip on @ 1/2 a grand, full system @ 1 grand, PC5 @ 500, so its slip on + PC5 @ 1k or full system + PC5 @ 1.5K
