  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
B Class
Finally getting round to fitting my FCR-mx carb that I picked up cheap (£20). Carb came off a 2007 yamaha wr450. Was planning on purchasing from jets r us but they didn't want to send to the UK.

I searched online to find a baseline jet setup and finally decided to buy the following.

needles OCEMN & OCEMM Was looking for a OBDVR needle but couldn't find one.

main jets I have 175 , 178 and 180

Main air jet 200

starter/slow jet 85

carb is already equipped with a 100 idle air jet, but have a adjustable one as well

Pilot jet 45

I have also purchased a merge adjustable leak jet due to this carb not being drilled for a leak jet and an extended fuel mixture screw.

Seem to be a bit of confusion regarding the knob and cable on the carb. Will be running a push pull throttle but when I asked about the other cable they said it was a choke cable. But online they say it could be the choke cable or the hot start. I personally think it's a hot start cable and the choke works off the pull knob on the side.

Anyway, once I start working on it, I may snap some pictures. Want to get this done as I want to start making some new panels for my bike as the originals have been attacked by UV and they look terrible.
