• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Fasst Flexx Handlebars...Looking for reviews or comments

Husqvarna
AA Class
Thinking about getting a set of these. The price is kinda steep so I wanted to see if anyone had these or used to have them and could offer some comments and real world reviews.

Thanks

I like them. Do what they are advertised to do. They are basically a little bit of suspension for the hands. Takes the initial impacts out. Also removes some vibs. They are spendy but as bars you can just move them to the next bike and keep them forever. I did not find anything negative other than kinda bulky. They feel fine, not odd unless you run the really soft elastomers.

I like them as well. Won't own a dirtbike without them now. Like Motosportz said, I just move them to the next bike. I currently have 2 sets and also have the Cycra handguards designed for the Flexx bars.
According to their website, they have knocked $50 off the price through Dec 31st.

They are on both of my Huskys (TE310 12deg cut down to 29.5in and TXC310R 10deg cut down just a little). I like the things, take the sting out, another secret weapon for long hard rides for lessening fatigue. Company is full service and you can consult with Skyler or one of the other Pros on their staff, good to do before you purchase. I showed up for the Anza 2 day qualifier in 2012 and had contacted owner Cole so he could inspect my bars, when he saw me he called me over and immediatly changed out my dampers so he did a rebuild on the spot, no questions asked and complimentary. Super good service, Made In USA, well supported, very hi quality cant go wrong.
All positives, only negative and somewhat inconsequential they are heavy compared to standard fat bars.

whats with that hyperlink that entered my text????
Anyway FYI I run Yellow comp and Red Reb, its just what I run.

Ty Davis, Gary Sutherlin and I run the Flexx bars at Zipty. Most of my KTM family and friends run them. Ty runs black/black bushings and I run blue compression/yellow rebound. I personally run the 116mm 12° enduro bends. Regular height is 92mm and less weight, but I enjoy the extra height while standing up. Washboard roads and small rocks are not felt anymore. While riding, I cannot tell the bars even move. I have added highwaydirtbikes tapped antivibration end tuners, Cryca hand guards and BRP billet pivot mounts. I have dumped my 511 at high speeds, end over end and the bars are rock solid.

If you still need help choosing the correct Flexx setup, give Cole Townsend a call at Faast. He is the original creator of the bars and can set you up with the exact bend and size to suit your needs. Also BRP racing sells them along with all of the accessories. Mention you're from CafeHusky, they can work with you on prices. :D

I run them on three bikes and they really work! I saw this dramatically, when I raced my '82 250WR this year. No Flexx bars on the bike and my wrists were killing me a few days later. I'm about to order my fourth set, for the '82 right now, to take advantage of the year end $50 off sale. I run Mini Low 10 degree, as they are 29" stock. This is perfect width for me, with no cutting.

I have basically changed my riding style due to the permanent wrist pain I have from an old army injury, not a NAM injury, just a peace time injury. You guys make these bars sound very good and I might try these when I get a little older (59.5) and the GOV says it is OK to spend $ from my retirement accounts. You know you are old when retirement money can be seen as a reality and not just talked about as some far away, in the future event.

I currently have the Pastrana FMX bars. What Flexx bars will most closely match the height and bends?

If you are going to get them. Buy them now they are $50 off until Dec 31st. They do not go on sale again until next Christmas.
