• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a 1976 360WR. I read a thread where someone said Falk fenders were available in France. Does anyone have their contact information?

Does anyone know if the Falk front fenders that were rebranded (or perhaps copied?) and sold in USA as Hi-point 'Dirt Defender' available in Europe somewhere? I know the Factory Suzuki team used them on their bikes and they actually have Hi-point molded in them on the froint but i think underneath there is still 'falk germany' so i am wondering if they got Falk in Germany to make them for them? I have not found repros of these anywhere and cant seem to find a Falk website but i assume they no longer exist.

Ok yeah 'Dirt Champion' is a different fender to the 'Dirt Defender' They are close but not the same. DC plastics does Dirt Champion. On my photo above from magazine that says 'Hi-Point' that flat section is about 3-3.5 inches long.

Found a photo

I did some checking and there is no Falk Germany anywhere on the Hi-Point fender, so i would say that Hi-Point copied the Falk, possibly unauthorized???. The underside of the HP fender is rough, like as if a fibreglass cast was taken from an original Falk to make the HP version.

The Hi-Point fenders and side panels on my '77 Penton say Falk West Germany on them.

hello
a guy in germany (horst renner) made a plastic reproduction of the falk fender
the front fender is very nice , better than dcplastics
but the rear need some adaptation to fit
it seems to be a falk for the kreidler van even who is very close but not the same
