  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Exhaust pipe difference between TE and TC?

I have a 2004 TE250 that needed a new muffler badly (PO chopped and gutted it). I bought a muffler off a 2006 TC250 that I thought would fit, and it does, but the problem is that the outlet for the TE midpipe is a different size that the inlet for the TC muffler. My question is can I buy a midpipe from a 2006 tc250 and mate it up with my TE's header, or is the header collector a different size also? or am I better of just finding an muffler that fits a 2004 TE250?

I had a TC 450 and as far as I know the TC`s had a full ti system and the enduro`s had a ss. I would think the mid pipe might be the same but maybe the TC`s flowed better.

Cool, Thanks for the Link J.R.! Actually had some free time today to work on the bike, and I think there may be a clearance issue between the rear tire and 2006 muffler. every time I look at it I can't help but feel the tires is going to rub hardcore when the suspension bottoms out. I blew my rear shock during the last dual sport I did, so I can take it out and cycle the suspension by hand to see it hits. If it does, I found a brand new in the box Leo Vince for the 2003-2004 TE 250 that has perked my interest.

Found out a few things this morning. I used a tape measure to measure the suspension travel to check to see if something hits. its get to about 12 1/2 inches (measuring form the axle nut) and the caliper makes contact with the silencer. rear travel for the 2004 TE 250 is 12.6 inches... too close for comfort. I put the stock can back on to see if it hit at the same place, well I can cycle the suspension all the way up into the rear fender and it sill has a 1/2 inch of clearance. well, it looks as if I will have to put it back up for sale. Anyone looking to buy a 2006-2007 TC 250 silencer :excuseme:
