• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

EWC: No mre Meo, Seb or E3 ?

MOTORHEAD

Husqvarna
Pro Class
I'm reading where HVA is about to let Meo and Seb walk, along with dropping out of the E3 class altogether, and possible letting U-haul get away also. :banghead:

What is up with that?

Meo is a little upset with not being allowed to solicit "outside of the factory team" products and sponsors. More money in sponsors than in the actual contract....same as all other sports. Seb?? maybe he wants something new to be done with the 300? (he has tested numerous things) Maybe GG offered him big $ to come back?

saw that foto of Meo with Jolly Racing/HM zanardo boss Franco Mayr, Meo will kill on a HM honda if he goes that route.

Isn't this just history repeating its' self? IE.... Rider wins on Husky then moves on to big-buck JAP brand.

Too bad but business is business ... I don't see how they could let either guy walk away though ...

I just don't understand how BMW/Husky could let Meo get away, after the amount of money that was paid to Knight/Juha deal with development of a bike. How hard could it be to throw some bones at Meo to get another World title. Maybe it is different from the inside on stuff we do not see. Meo is a talented/popular rider and it would be good to see Juha continue with this to keep the turmoil down. Fabrizio has a talent for picking the up and coming players in the WEC (EWC).

If this is true then it's just really sad that Husky can't continue to build on what they've invested in. Hope it isn't true, would like to keep on seeing Meo on a Husky,.....even wish they'd send him here.

Over at MX2 the team nearly did not exist for 2012. In fact the race team budget was cut by 50% as told to me directly by Martino Bianchi in writing. More facts are that Lupino received less money for 2012 and the Italian Federation made up the rest of to him to match what he made in 2011. Another fact the second rider, Triest, signed with Ricci not Husqvarna, pays for his own mechanic and pays for his ride. Things are not what they appear to be that's for sure.
