I got a TE 250 2010 derestricted. I've had parts replaced in engine (long story there, shop put on oil filter backwards, starved engine of oil, yada yada)..
Anyways - bike runs great now. 2,500 miles. But today, as I was riding in 90 degree weather, keeping the rpms around 6,000-6,500 in 6th gear cruising 45-50 for probably 10 minutes.. I was slowing down and letting the rpms get to around 5,000 then kind of a stutter stutter then engine goes off (brand new oil filter -on the right way
, and just put oil in with 20 or so miles since).
Pull to side of road, wait a few minutes. Fire her back up on first click. Idles fine, ran it again.. slowly up through the rpms to 6000 and switching gears. Then a little while later, stutter stutter engine off. Did this 3 times total.
The orange light for gas just went on but usually I get another 40-50 miles out of it once that happens. I went to station to fill up gas -little less than a gallon topped it off. Drove another 5 miles home and didn't have any more problems, ran fine and strong. I wasn't going faster than 40 this time and never above 6500rpms.
Is there an overheat sensor that does this? Am I having fuel line problems? Or is it something to do with Valves? Something else? I am using the JD Jetting tuner but using the recommended settings.
Thanks for feedback.
