• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Are you going this year?

No. Last year I went to the dealers meeting and took the very first efi bike to Dynojet. Niether apply this year.

It will be interesting to watch. :)

TT has some type of arrangement going on with 'live feeds'? As far as I can tell someone will be typing posts as things happen? Dunno...

TTs coverage is a massive fail, no posts since 5:30... and I know the race is over.

Here is last years main event for entertainment value.

Taddy Blazusiak Opens 2010 GEICO EnduroCross Series with a win in Las Vegas!

Geoff Aaron and Cory Graffunder rounded out the podium

Las Vegas, NV (July 17, 2010) – Taddy Blazusiak, the defending EnduroCross champion rode his Red Bull KTM to a hard fought victory over Geico, Christini backed Geoff Aaron. Zip Ty Husqvarna mounted Cory Graffunder came out on top of a dog fight for the final podium spot over FMF KTM’s Mike Brown and Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soule.

Aaron, the ten time National Trials champion got the day started by setting the fastest time during the Pioneer Hot Lap that determine the gate picks for the evenings heat races. He also earned a $500 bonus from Rekluse clutch by being the fastest rider using their auto clutch. Mike Brown and Cody Webb, one of the top American Trials riders showed that he is quickly learning how to race EnduroCross by posting the third fastest time.

Blazusiak, Brown and Graffunder were the heat race winners and earned the best gate picks for the main event. The biggest surprise of the night was the fact that Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ricky Dietrich, the 2008 EnduroCross champion, did not qualify for the main after crashing while in a qualifying spot during the Last Chance Qualifier. He was joined on the sidelines by Lucas Oil backed Colton Haaker, last year’s E3 Spark Plugs Junior Champion that also had a very rough evening.

Blazusiak earned the $750 Girardi Wealth management holeshot award but was quickly passed by Geoff Aaron. The two riders swapped the lead several times during the first half of the race until Aaron made a small mistake and fell over in the GEICO rock garden. That gave Blazusiak a small lead that he managed hold for the remainder of the race. The battle for third included Graffunder, Brown, Soule, Gary Sutherlin, Kyle Redmund, and Cody Webb. Webb appeared to have the final podium spot under control before crashing in the Monster water hole and then Graffunder temporarily handed the position away but fought back to get on the podium. Brown rode a steady race to earn forth position ahead of Soule. All of these riders had a shot at the podium and provided some great racing action for the enthusiastic crowd.

2010 Las Vegas EnduroCross Expert Class results:

1. Taddy Blazusiak KTM
2. Geoff Aaron Christini KTM
3. Cory Graffunder Husqvarna
4. Mike Brown KTM
5. Justin Soule Kawasaki
6. Gary Sutherlin Kawasaki
7. Kyle Redmond Kawasaki
8. Jamie Lanza Kawasaki
9. Destry Abbott Kawasaki
10. Cody Webb Gas Gas
11. Kevin Rookstool KTM

The GEICO EnduroCross series presented by E3 Spark plugs now heads to Guthrie Oklahoma for round two on August 14th.

Woo Hoo!!! :applause:

Cory Graffunder got a 3rd!

That may not sound fantastic, but it is considering what a crap shoot Endurocross is.

Cory/Husqvarna off to Great Start

You are correct, he rode a TC250 and quite well I might add. He won his heat race easily and after getting a mid pack start in the main moved into third by Lap 2 and was never challenged from there. Taddy and Geoff got off to great starts and battled out front for the lead. Considering that Dietrich and Hakker didn't even qualify for the main shows you how tough the competition is.

Was it the carbed version or the new 2011 with EFI? Either way, it was great to see a Husky rider on the podium in the series opener.

Unless they changed over to the 2011, it's a close to stock TC250 with a rekluse. Dirt rider did an article on his bike, and not much was done to it...mostly carb mods, suspension, the clutch and some protection...they even use the stock plastic skid plate.
