• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I read your post over on NEDB.:busted: Talk about flying blind! I went with the ICO, after years of watch and odo (also an ICO) timekeeping. I prefered the bigger display the Checkmate XL and it fit nicely between the crossbars on my Flexx bars. ICO can run FIM and AMA/NEPG start control rules, as well as AMA and New England Interval (Brand X) timekeeping rules. Watch Dog can do AMA and Brand X, but not sure about the rest. Both should work as an odo for Dual Sport and Turkey Runs.

You might want to go Watch Dog in New England, as there will always be lots of programing help at NETRA enduros, as you learn to program. ICO Checkmate has the ultimate newby crutch...... Someone already programmed can infared flash the program into your Checkmate. Not the best way to learn, but easy!:busted: Either one should work well.

alot of ecea guys use the ICO and seem to have a bit of an advantage over us watchdog useres, not sure if its just riding very hot with the standard AMA rules, and you can go early into the woods based on possibles and listen as the rows pass you that are on time to hear if they are blasing out of a checkin, while brand x you are potentially given a new number every check, preventing you from catching up to the next row in front of you until you are in the next section,im pretty sure the ICO beeps if your early? i would like that instead of keep looking down at my watchdog, yeah the watchdog has a gncc modes as well for multiple laps

For ECEA riding hot is sport! Theb ICO has no audible early warning, but giving you a lot of info (early/late, possibles) on one screen without having to toggle though different ones.
