    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

For thoes that race the xlite platform with the stock enduro computer I've got a question. How the heck are you using it? I've been lucky the last 2 races have used the national format, a series of special tests that you go as fast as you can, no hot points. This next weekend my luck will run out and it will be a time keeping format.

So far I know that I have to manually start the timer. The problem is, unlike my buddies Yamaha which will automatically start the timer when his tires start to roll, mine has to be done by me. Well I can't start it too early and when I have approximately 5 seconds to my rows "go time" starting the timer is the last thing on my mind.

I also know when you push and hold the timer button once, the clock will start, push it again, the clock pauses, restarts the timer at about 3.5 seconds. Push it again, it pauses and restarts at about 3.5 seconds and a downward pointing arrow shows on the lt side of the screen. Push it again, pauses and restarts at 3.5 seconds showing an upward arrow. Push it again, pauses and restarts at 3.5 seconds again and "Bpac" or something shows on the rt side of the screen.

What the???

Anyone know how to use this thing? Thank you.
 
I threw that "thing" in a box when new, as it's usless and mounted an ICO Checkmate XL. It is'nt even resetable for tenths of a mile.
 
Calling the stocker an enduro computer is like calling a a Toyota Prius aperformance car.
Resetable features are lacking severeley so it really doesn't matter what time you start it.
Get a checkmate from ICO.

That's right....if you can't reset it by tenths..it's all but useless for an enduro odometer.

I guess you can use it for DS rides that only reset to zero.

Good news is a checkmate magnet will thread right into the stock hole.

What's the significance of 10ths of a mile? I'm looking for it to auto start and record miles and time.(I think)

You really can do your 1st time keeper with a watch rollchart and a RESETABLE odometer....or just ride with a good timekeeper on your minute that is a touch faster than you and stay on his back fender the whole day.
 
Did my first few with a watch, route sheet and went off the "Pie plates" for mileage!
Talk about learning the hard way! Up hill both ways in the snow and i was thankful kind of story to be honest. Made me a better timekeeper than a computer watcher.

Learning Enduros is like playing poker....you learn by playing and you may even do well at the start!
 
Well my stock computer let the magic smoke out late last season and i am looking to get a replacement. What are some great aftermarket suggestions? Ill look into a couple of the suggestions already mentioned in this thread as well.
