• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

EMRA 2nd & 3rd overall

Planepower

Husqvarna
AA Class
2nd over all in Lightweight Sportbike Class (up against SV 650's) - just 1 point away before race, and put everything I had to catch the leader (SV), but body ran out of steam.
3rd overall in Supermotard Class. Up against expert riders and took 3 races to sort out handling issues.
Alll in all a memorable season, managed a personal best time of 1:04.8, started at 1:11's in first round (my gixxer does 1:01's). Best lap on a SM ever is 1:03.4
A great big thanks to this forum for all the info presented, HUGE thanks to Ross Rocher Sales and Hall's Cycles.

P.S. Only husky out there, up against a Husa 550, CRFs, KTM and SV 650 lol
Bike always gets complimented.

Sweet! Congrats on your racing success! Way to represent the Husky

Do the SV's not have a twins class to race in? When I think of lightweight sportbikes I think of all the FZR400's still ripping around the tracks out here in CA :D

Here in Canada we had the SV cup where they had larger grids, we do have a twins class, but there's Ducs and Apes that scare off the SV's lol. I haven't seen a FZR400 in years! Most bikes here are 600 supersports or liter bikes. Best grid of SM we had is 8, usually there are only 5 of us. Mix in 2 or 3 SVs and the grid fills up, plus all the grids are mixed, except for the SS bikes. So in Lightwieght we have expert, and Intermediate classes plus a few Ninja250's and late 90's sportbikes. Makes it fun when you rail along the inside and pass an old YZF1000!
