  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

ecu and injectors

Dealer said ecu and injectors will run about 575 out the door here in so cal , labor is 98 , what did you guys pay if you don t mind sharing that info... Just want this bike to be ready to rock , right now I have the throttle stop removed and new air filter cage , and pipe unpluged, is this gonna wake it up even more ?

Presume you're talking about the TE310 or TE250?

At that price it would be worth looking into a Dynojet Power Commander 5 + Autotune + 12-hole injector. The injector on it's own should be pretty cheap, and I believe you can use the Kawasaki KX 12 hole injector - but check that for yourself. At least if you go the PC5 route you can then adjust the mapping to your liking when you want to.

I would have to agree with both Arctra and Dan on this. The 12 port injector and ecu are both worth getting as well as the PCV. Our 310 maps are based upon the new ecu and injector combined. Matched with a powerbomb/silencer, the te310 becomes a powerful enduro machine. $575 seems a little steep though.

Got all the stuff ordered today, 12 hole injector ecu and some other things theys said it needed to be full power, heading out to Colorado to ride with my boys mc friday for a week , then hopefully my stuff will be in when I get back , told them to keep the bike incase the stuff gets in before I get back.
