• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dynaring for 08-10 TE series!

Got in touch w/ the guys from Revloc and it looks like they are going to see if the Dynaring developed for the TC series fits properly in the TE series.

Looks like I will have my 2010 TE-510 up in their shop sometime in the next week or so to get it installed and checked out.

I'll report as soon as it's in and tested!

I've had a Dynaring in my 09 TE450 for almost two months, they sent the one for the TC/SMR450 and I've had nothing but problems with it. I'm sending it back for them to look at.

I'm goin in to their shop on monday to have them install it.

You might be why they want to do the install and see what the deal is.

I had one of the first ones Alan made for the 10' 310 and it just wouldn't work right. Just couldn't get it to hook up right, would slip like a bugger until you were way up in the rpm's, making normal slow speed trail work impossible. Tried all the combinations of shims to get the gap right.

Now I really don't think I need one. The 310 pulls so well in 2nd/3rd, I rarely need the clutch except on some up hills at times (long and steep) and really slow speed around trees and such.

Did a quick 2 hr test ride and it worked like a charm. Does not disengage all the way, but I like it better like that so I have engine braking when i down shift.

Still needs a few more hrs of testing / break in before the final verdict.

Rumour is true. I hurd it from the hourses mouth. I just got off the phone with alan. I guess i will never see a dyna-ring for my 09 te310. I did wish him the best of luck for his future.
