• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Do they sell Husqvarna bikes?

I change the notice in this forum from this
If you have Kudos/positive input about a dealer
to this. I thought it should have been obvious from the forum titles but maybe not...
If you have Kudos/positive input about a Husqvarna bike dealer

I called and their phone was busy, possibly someone saw this thread and called?

Dyna Reno

I have been getting all my Husky parts from them for over 4 years now.
So far he has had all thatt I needed for my 96 WXC 410.
Great guy to chat with, lots of knowledge, and old parts too.

Seems that is what was happening

I called and talked to Ed the owner. Great guy and easy to talk to. He was a dealer for a few bike brands for many years and has just recently stopped selling bikes.

He still road races vintage stuff, and he has a large inventory of parts that can be ordered from him, his inventory stops about 2007. In addition he works on bikes going back 40(ish) years

HuskyT - you may want to reference this shop in your vintage forum, sounds like a great source for mechanic work and parts for vintage, in addition to the newer bikes.

But since he is no longer a dealer, and the purpose of this forum is to help people new to Husqvarna find a great bike dealer, I'll move it over to the General section.
Husqvarna dealers -> general

Thanks for moving the thread for me. He was a dealer when i lived in Reno. Husqvarna, Cagiva, Ducati, Moto Guzzi,ect... Ed (the owner) is a great guy. I dont mind driving up there(i'm in Vegas) dropping off a bike to be repaired and driving back in a week to pick it up. He is that good. And he always has the parts in stock.

That is my distinct impression, especially the bold parts, and he seems to love working on the older bikes as well.
