• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Duel sporting a wr300 in tn fireroads just east of Seattle

So I was feeling lazy today and didn't feel like driving 2 hrs each way to singletrack. So I flipped up the mirrors and did an exploratory ride of the wilds of cascade mtns just 30 miles east of Seattle.
After a couple hrs of dirt roads my back was killing me -lol. Glad I only do dual sporting on the thing once or twice a year. Gotta invest in a real duel sport one of these days.

Is this the Fall City area? Tiger Mountain area?

Cool pics ... The street riding is a pain sometimes on a dirt bike ...Maybe it is because we are just sitting in a single position too long and this results in pain ...

North bend. It's that north fork rd that goes for like 30 miles up past mt si. Sucks majorly too..If you look at the mtns in any direction..they are all crisscrossed with fire roads..that are also gated. Waaah. This is basically only place to go left.

Mate that looks like a really beautiful corner of the world you have there. I hope you get the dualie and really enjoy it some more.

Nice stuff. Thanks for sharing!

How does the 300 feel on the pavement? Bad vibes or anything?

Surprisingly not bad. I have a motosportz steering damp on it so that helps. Just get alot of stares lol. I dont like pushing my luck as i am borderline legal so only once in a blue moon I ride it out in the open l
