• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Down South Ride

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Got caught on the ground 2 times on this ride. The first was a cross rut the second I was showing off and lost it. Great ride very tough rocky terrain, carried a gallon to supplement the peanut tank. 3 of us with no issues. 2 WR450s 1 TXC450.
Note: as usual fotos flatten the terrain, some hills are very steep and unforgiving (full commitment). Some moisture was found!!!

I don't get the kodak photo link biz, some can get there some not. Does it need a sign up first?? Anyone???

No kidding K,,,,,amazing what a difference in lattitude makes! I missed the PNW offroad scene but did get to ride my streetbike alot and all over from the Nav base (my only transport was my 79 KZ1000 MK2) when I was in NAS Whidbey island way back in the day (80s), your zone is really amazing. Great fishing too!!

Sorry Rob...it's just my computer, the link is fine. It's blocked here at my place. I'll look 'em up at a bro's desk later at home.

The link worked for me, no need to sign up.

I do not understand the Kodak marketing approach. While in some instances it would be handy for people sharing pictures when they do not want them downloaded (photographer for instance, although with a little effort those can be downloaded too), it is mostly a deterrent for people because they cannot post or refer to individual pictures.

Is this your camera? Or anyone else on cafe husky?

Local rider who is wild with his cam and does more freakin trail and general offroad miles than anyone I know (his WR450 has something like 12000 miles on it), he has a holster on his upper left chest for the cam with a really nice fone cord type tether. And he gets alot of shots while riding, cam in the left hand facing front and back, even in somewhat challenging terrain, great stuff.

12,000 on a WR450

I knew they were reliable but wow....

Thanks Robert, I agree, great stuff!

Jake has 15K or more on a WR250 yami. It's been fixed a few times but keeps on going. Hard miles too. Someone on TT have 15K plus on a TE450. Not unheard of.

PS cool moto story, funny stuff/small world. I found a helmet cam on the trail (one of the trails). Very few people ride these trails and our ride lead knew about the group who rode those sections the week before, long story short, one of the guys is stoked and is sending me a ups box to ship him his cam back (contour 1080), found in the middle of nada in the hills of n. baja. RN

Picture 51 looks steep especially when you consider the flattening effect photos take.
One of the guys looks a lot like that actor (officer and a gentleman-picture 56).

Anyway great photos-thanks.

OK- saw the pics, logged onto my roomies 'puter at home.

Good stuff man. That dirf mark on your arm looks like it hurt...yeeyouch!

Loved the miss-matched boots too...I did that once, borrowed a boot 1 size larger after crushing my foot on a frozen stump so I could get it on over the Ace bandage.

Dig that crazy 'Fast by Ferracci' mouthgaurd... :D

Wow! That looks like some seriously fun terrain! I dig the slab!
Reminds me of the San Rafael Swell in Utah...home of the infamous
5 Miles Of Hell trail:D

He had all his gear stolen a couple weeks before that red blu mismatch was what he could get a hold of to ride with plus the new shoei (very nice piece)
may sound cocky but arm scrape was super minor and mostly a reopen from previous weeks manzanita whips, made for good foto effect!!!
That is my tricolore BRUX lower sports bite (prototype model) with over a years use and still doing great.

boots dfferent!! Hey valentino rossi has made it a fashion statement!!!

Ah! gear theive's. Grrrr.... had my shorts and socks stolen from a laundramat once back in the '79. Left the other stuff. Just took the scivie's. Wierd.
