  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Did they improve the TC250 after 2010?

Hey guys, so the time has come (even though i had a 2010 tc250f before my 125) to got to a 250f. I would love to stay true to Husqvarna.

So my question is, is the 2011 and newer TC250f a better bike? My 2010 was a good bike.....When it started and didn't flair out mid track.... i am a bit scared to buy another TC250f.....Input on the 2011 or newer please? If it seems a bit dodgy i might go to a CRF or YZF...

2012 and later are the new style red heads.

They are FI

Did they sell a TC250 in 2011? I've never seen one.

Why a 250F? Are you racing? Why not a 250 2t? 2013/14 TC250R does have nice specs:

I recently watched a vid of the factory GP rider at the time and he loved the bike. Otherwise not sure about it. Searching here should give you an idea of how they performed and any issues.
Still I'd choose a 2t 250 over a 4t in a heartbeat

my 2012 tc250 is a great bike. The only issue I've had is a clogged injector. Probably from taking the ims tank on and off to many times.

Have you considered a 310? I have a 2013 TXC310r and love the power. I agree it is a little 2 stroke like, but in a good way with quick revs. It isn't as powerful as my friend's '14 yz 250, but really not that far off. In a flat out drag race it is even with a Husaberg 390 except I run out of gear first.

Is that a 2stroke YZ you are referring to?

Joe- when you say "clogged injector" are you talking about the spray ports or is the filter in the injector itself clogged with sediments? ...and how did you solve it?
